Hello there! I’m Gwynna, pronounced as /g’we-na/ and I’m a Super Mom. How?
I take on different roles — a wife to my loving husband Joey, a mom to my adorable pre-schooler Joshua and toddler Aia, a market research professional, a “household manager” (yes, even if I have a corporate job, I take on this role because who else will? 🙂 ). Juggling and balancing these roles along with the other hats that I wear outside my family would probably make one say that yes, I qualify to be a “Super Mom”. BUT the reality is I am in no way capable of being a so called Super Mom just because I get to superpower-fully do all of these family roles at once.
Then what makes me a Super Mom? These 2 realities:
1. As a believer of Jesus Christ, it is my desire to be great or “super” in the things that I do to glorify the name of our Lord. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”. We are destined to do great things for the Lord and personally, I would like to be a great wife, mom, corporate employee and home manager that I can be all for God’s glory.
2. My human capabilities are very much limited but there is a much more capable God who gives me strength to do the things I need to do for my family, work, our home, my friends and myself. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). Jesus Christ is the source of my strength, the One who “super-izes” me.
Being a Super Mom is both a desire and a reality to me. Come and hear my stories as I strive to be the super wife, mom and all that I want to be, not by my own abilities, but through the super strength and powers that our Lord Jesus provides me.
